The Ramayana by R. K. Narayan
The Ultimate Boon
"Rama said, 'Your arrival here is the greatest boon for me, and I have nothing more to seek. All along, my only desire has been to see you again, and that is fulfilled," (164).
This is the ultimate boon for Rama because his journey begins with the banishment from his father. None of Rama's journey would have taken place if it had not been for his need to fulfill his fathers wishes. Even though defeating Ravana was his destiny all along, his banishment was the push he needed to begin the journey.
